On March 12, 2022, Brother Greg Young (Iota) was inducted into the Sons of the American Revolution.
The Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is a non- profit, non- partisan organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and teaching American history to future generations.
Eligibility for membership is based upon being able to prove blood lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Brother Greg was able to prove that his 6X great grandfathers, Stephen Smith and Abraham Ream fought with the Lancaster Pennsylvania Militia.
As a member of SAR, Greg will be called upon to volunteer his time to: service his local community, support active-duty military and assist veterans as well. His educational experience will be used, as members assist in classrooms with living history interpreters, lesson planning materials and reenactment events for school aged youth to attend.
